Hay-Vac Ltd was created to provide a dependable, specialist engineering service for vacuum excavation trucks and associated plant machinery. We focus on the systems that matter most — ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, and performing as it should in demanding real-world conditions. Our work supports contractors, operators, and businesses who rely on their machinery every day and cannot afford unnecessary downtime, uncertainty, or shortcuts.
The company is led by Ryan, Director of Hay-Vac Ltd, who brings over 10 years’ experience within the vacuum excavation and plant machinery sector. Ryan has previously worked as a Service Manager, giving him a strong understanding not only of hands-on engineering, but also of job planning, compliance, and the operational pressures faced by clients. Based in Retford, Ryan works on a mobile basis and travels to sites across the UK, providing on-site inspection, servicing, and repair support.
With extensive experience across vacuum excavation equipment, we take a practical and methodical approach to every job. We use BigChange job management software to provide digital inspection, service, and repair documentation, giving clients clear, professional paperwork while also tracking job progress and completed works.
We also maintain an active Facebook presence, where we regularly share updates, photos from site, completed works, and useful information about our services. This gives clients a clear view of the type of work we carry out and the standards we work to.
We pride ourselves on being straightforward to work with. There are no call centres, no middlemen, and no inflated promises — clients deal directly with engineers who understand the equipment and the regulations surrounding it. Whether it’s inspection, servicing, or repair, our aim is simple: to deliver reliable engineering support that keeps machinery operational, compliant, and ready for work.
